- Make sure you make time for yourself. Take a walk. Get a cup of coffee. Read the newspaper. Eat a Hershey's chocolate kiss. Savor the moment for yourself.
- Say something nice to someone else. Say thank you. Acknowledge something they have done. Tell them they look nice today. Praise them for a skill they possess. See them.
- Hug someone you love. Touch them. Hug a dog or cat.
- Look at yourself in the mirror...and smile. Aren't you just wonderful?
- Find a quote that has meaning for you. Post it on your cubicle. Clip it to your calendar. Share it with your friend.
- Minimize contact with critical people who think they are helping you with their critical advice. If they don't say at least as many nice things as they say critical things, they are to be avoided!
